Location. Location. Location. There is no place better. When we say Carre D’Or, it is literally located in the ‘sweet spot’ of the Carre D’Or, if there can be one!
Rue Longchamp is arguably the most desirable street in all of Nice—calm and luxurious. Find luxury boutiques next door, the beach 2 minutes on foot, Place Massena and its pietonne full of nightlife is just a few minutes out the front door.
Museums, art galleries, antique shopping, and the list goes on…Old town is a 5-minute walk, with the tramway a 3- minute walk away, as well as Galleries La Fayette and the High Street shopping area with all the popular stores such as Zara, MANGO, and H&M.
Enjoy the famous Promenade des Anglais and the azur blue sea--only a few minutes on foot from your holiday accomodation.
This holiday rental apartment is located just off the street, on a small pedestrian impasse. Street noise is at a minimum as no cars are allowed to enter the impasse.
This holiday home in Nice is located on the 1st floor with no lift. The building is a typical Nicoise style design with a rare wrap around terrace. The terrace faces south and has both covered, shaded areas, as well as full sun. The vacation rental apartment has high ceilings typical of the Belle Epoque era and beautiful original hardwood floors in the living area. As it was refurbished a couple of years ago, it is the perfect mix of lux modern fittings and old-world warmth.
Aptly named Amour Violette, Cupid and Venus sketches grace the walls of the living area where a deep violet wall takes center stage.
Living area is open plan with a dining and kitchen area. The space is bright and open with large French windows facing both the small interior impasse and private terrace--the terrace is immediately accessible from the living room.
The space has been thought out to easily allow lounging for six. There is a comfortable sofa for five, as well as 2 reading chairs, allowing for plenty of relaxing room in your holiday apartment in Nice.
There is a large 36in energy efficient LED flat screen provides ambiance and entertainment, along with an integrated French cable, WiFi, and DVD wall mounted system.
Also, a small library of books and games are available for guests to enjoy during their stay in their holiday accommodation in Nice.
*The sofa can also be transformed into a double 190 cm bed. This apartment can therefore accommodate up to 6 people. Please note there is an additional charge for sofa bed linen & towels in order to accommodate 6 people comfortably.
The fully integrated contemporary kitchen includes everything you need to rustle up a family meal, during your holiday in Nice.
Finished in glossy grey cabinetry with white countertops, the kitchen includes a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and an electric ceramic hob with oven.
You will find four white leather breakfast stools for casual meals and a dining table large enough to seat six comfortably. When six people use this holiday rental apartment, there are four leather armchairs and two funky all white Louis XV chairs that can be used to complete the dining area--otherwise the extra chairs are used in the bedrooms for casual lounging.
The master bedroom in this vacation rental is set in colours of cream and black, with a touch of luxury throughout. Find cream-coloured, crocodile-patterned curtains held by black feathered tie backs and crystal hooks. The look is completed with glossy jet-black side tables, silver footed side lamps, and a 160cm British king/American queen size bed. All topped off with crushed velvet noir pillows and a faux fur throw. A soft white canvassed painting graces the wall to bring all the elements gently together in this perfect holiday home in Nice.
Find a modern, en suite bathroom with full-size bathtub, shower, toilet, hand sink, heated towel rail, and high- powered hair dryer.
There is also a full length mirror, integrated wardrobe area, and extra shelving space which offers plenty of storage for two.
The twin bedroom is washed in natural colours of beige, fresh sky blue, and deep pink. It is highlighted with a backdrop of natural linen curtains and headboards, along with a beautiful antique-styled, blacktopped bedside table.
There are two luxury-size single beds at 120cm each--instead of the usual 90cm. A silver double- headed lamp is set in between for convenient bedside reading.
Find an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower complete with multi body jets and a rain showerhead. A hand sink, heated towel rail, and a high-powered hair dryer are also found here. There is an integrated closet area with a full length mirror, as well as direct access to the wrap around terrace and pantry where a washing machine combo tumble dryer is located.
There are shutters and curtains in both bedrooms to allow for sleeping in late. As well as central air conditioning and heating.
There are 2.5 bathrooms and 2 toilets. The bathrooms are freshly tiled in cream and dark grey stone. Each bedroom enjoys an en suite bathroom.
The master bedroom en suite has a full bathtub, shower, toilet, and towel-heating rail.
The twin bedroom has a large walk-in shower with multi jet massage and rain head, a towel-heating rail, no toilet.
Both bathrooms have a mirror, hand sink, and high-powered hair dryer.
There is a WC with toilet and hand sink just off the living/terrace area.

We had a lovely stay in Nice in September, thank you for organising this for us. We loved the apartment because of the location, which was so central to all the great sights and shops in Nice city centre. The apartment was immaculate throughout and beautifully presented by the owner. Once we had overcome the issue relating to the price, I found dealing with Sunlight very easy. You were always efficient and replied to my emails promptly. We would gladly stay at the apartment again and would happily use Sunlight properties in the future.

Appt. was beautiful and spacious and very central. Despite that it was very quiet as it was in a cul de sac. Jocelyn was punctual and very helpful and appt was spotless on our arrival. We went on day trips to Beaulieu, Antibes and Monaco and really enjoyed all of them. We were lucky to have perfect weather in Oct with temps perfect. My 10 year old daughter enjoyed the nearby Ice-cream shop and we used the Boulngerie round the corner every day. I would highly recommend the appt and have done so to friends. Thanks Keith

My friends and I really loved the apartment. There was plenty of room for all 3 of us. It exceeded all our expectations. Beats the heck out of staying in a hotel. One night we took our dinner to go and we ate out in the balcony. That was very relaxing. Everything was spotless (very clean) and we love the decor. We thought the location and the neighborhood overall was great. It was close enough to everything and yet not really in the middle of it all, which was how we like it. The bakery right on the corner was just what we needed. We bought our early morning croissants, brioche, and coffee over there. I don't know about discovery as far as restaurants but a friend recommended Acchiardo and also Cave De L'Origine which incidentally was also one of your recommendations. We went to those places and was not disappointed. We missed going to the La Merenda though. Oh well, maybe next time. Sunlight Properties overall was very easy to deal with. Everything was really straightforward. Christine was great. She was there to meet us within minutes of our arrival at the apartment. She even set the washing machine for us when I told her that we forgot how to work it. Thank you! We really did have a great experience with you and we had a great time in Nice.

Thank you so much for our wonderful stay in your beautiful apartment. There were a lot of things that we enjoyed including the location of the apartment and the modern design of the apartment. The beds were comfy and the water in the showers were warm. The only problem that we had was when we first arrived. It was my understanding that I had to contact someone when we arrived to arrange a place for pick up of the key but no one answered my calls. I guess there was a representative waiting with the key at the apartment. This could have been my mistake or just a mix up of communication.

"Excellent base for Nice" If you are looking for an apartment that is centrally located but quiet at night, this is it. The pictures show Amour Violette as it really is, very spacious, clean, bright and modern - although the terrace is not really as inviting as it might seem, being fairly overlooked by surrounding buildings. The apartment is located in a quiet spot, in an "impasse" or dead end just off a fairly quiet one-way shopping street. The flat is comprehensively (and thoughtfully) equipped with quality fittings except for the absence of a clothes dryer. Good, secure wifi, comfortable beds, good quality linen/towels and two good bathrooms (the second one, an ensuite to the second bedroom, is quite compact but OK - although you need to use the separate toilet out past the living room near the door to the terrace). Access to this first floor flat is via easy stairs. The only odd thing is that you dispose of your garbage by finding a public bin on the street nearby. The location was perfect for seeing everything in Nice and it is in easy walking distance to the station to hop local trains to places like Antibes/Juan-Le-Pins. Service from the property managers was very good, including the provision of very detailed instructions for arrival and detailed info about the flat and living in Nice. The cash security deposit was returned on checkout without any fuss.

"Great Apartment - Central yet Quiet" Making the inquiry and booking the property was really easy. Responses to our inquiry were detailed and immediate. I did get a little nervous when I didn't receive the bill for the 2nd payment right away but all went well. Directions on how to get there and what to do prior to and when you get there was also very detailed. It would be difficult to get lost. Our liaison, Christine was very helpful. She met us outside the apartment within 2 minutes of us getting there to hand us the keys, gave us the tour of the place, gave us instructions on how things worked, where things are, and set us up with the wifi. She also had to go back to the apartment to set up the washing machine for us because we forgot how to work it. The apartment location was perfect for us. You can walk pretty much everywhere. It is central and yet away from it all. There were 3 of us but there was a lot of space even for 4 people. It was very clean, and that is the main thing we look for in a place - hotel or apartment - while on vacation. Everything else is secondary. However, everything else met, if not exceeded our expectations. The decor was very modern. Mattresses were comfortable and the beddings and towels were very pretty. We didn't cook but we did a take out dinner which we ate out at the balcony. There was a bakery right around the corner where we got our coffee, croissants, and brioche. My friend woke really early one morning and went to the Cours Saleya to buy some cheese and meat stuff to eat with our croissant and brioche for breakfast. There was a list provided in the apartment that guests can refer to for places you may need to go to such as the bank. Also, there were recommendations for restaurants to go to. One of the restaurants - Cave De L'Origine - matched one of the restaurants in our list that a friend gave us. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was a great place to go home to after a day of touring.

“If Carlsberg did Holiday Apartments.............” We have just returned from a fantastic week with our children aged 11 & 7 in this superb apartment. Ideal location right in the heart of the town and within easy walking distance to the Old Town, the beach and the station. The apartment is exactly as it appears in the description, beautiful decor and great facilities, the wifi is a definite advantage when researching our day trips and of course always helpful for keeping the kids occupied! The outside space is a lovely place to eat or just simply relax. Dana was most helpful & friendly when we met her on our arrival, she had arranged a taxi from the airport which was well worth it. We would definitely like to return.

“Spacious, clean apartment in the perfect location.” We were greeted by Dana with a smile and she was excited to share the details of the apartment as well as provide information about what to see and do in the area. The apartment was clean and spacious. The location of the apartment was within walking distance for the beach, restaurants, old town and shopping. Dana was accessible by phone throughout our time in Nice. Upon checkout, Ivan was timely and very friendly, handling checkout professionally and efficiently. We were travelling with 4 adults and 2 children and the apartment had more than we needed. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Lovely apartment, exactly as advertised. The apartment is as big as the photos suggest and seems even more spacious thanks to the lovely high ceilings. The apartment is really well equipped with all you could need and in very good condition. The location couldn't be better - minutes from the old town, bus stops and the sea front, and only a short walk (or 2 tram stops) to the station, and yet down a really quiet cul-de-sac - perfect! Dana managed the key pick-up/deposit/etc and she was really organised and friendly and very helpful. We all had a great week in the apartment and would definitely recommend it 100% and, if we return to Nice, will more than likely stay there again.

Perfect location with 2 bathrooms and spacious veranda Stayed here with 4 female friends to celebrate our 40th birthdays. Paid a bit more than we could have but we wanted something nice. Great location for shops, walking to beach and old town. Lots going on a stone through away but in a great quiet spot. Two bathrooms made such a difference and the apartment was nicely air conditioned. Nice comfy beds with open planned livening space and kitchen. With 5 adults we never felt cramp tat all. Best of all was the veranda - whilst only getting the sun between 2pm -5pm we spent our time lounging there. We were lucky with temperature and loved Nice.

We came back yesterday after our holiday in Nice, staying in Amour Violette. We wish to tell you that it was just what we wanted - a spacious, clean and modern apartment for 3 of us, with excellent access to the city. We had a fantastic trip and M Ivan Faudet was most helpful. Our arrival flight was delayed by an hour, but the taxi from Your Friend in France was waiting for us, and our return trip (booked separately) came to pick us up right on time. This is the first time that we have rented an apartment for a city break and if we do it again, we will definitely consult your company to see what you have available. “A perfect location” We spent 5 nights in this apartment and found it to be a perfect location for visiting Nice. The apartment was large, clean and extremely well equipped. There were only 3 of us, but having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms ensured that we did not have to queue to use the facilities. The balcony was a lovely sunny place to sit and eat our lunch. We used the washing machine and were pleased to be able to go home with more clean clothes than dirty ones. The location was perfect for food shopping and window shopping at the many boutiques in the area. It was also near to the seafront and public transport links. The company representative was on hand to show is around and was most helpful in every way.

I inquired about a few of Sunlight Properties' apartments before settling on this location, but Catalina made the booking process very easy and gave suggestions of apartments that were close to each other (I needed to book 2 apartments). Location: in Carre d'Or, walking distance to the Promenade, Old Town, Place Massena, just about everything! We walked in to Old Town to buy baguettes and croissants for breakfast almost every single morning and could easily swing by the apartment again throughout the day after shopping by Place Massena, walking up Colline du Château, etc. Apartment: We were a group of 5 adults and Amour Violette was the perfect amount of space. Beds were comfortable, sofa bed was nice and spacious for my male cousin, and plenty of closet space for our 6-night stay. The open kitchen/living room plan really makes the apartment feel large enough for a group-- we spent one lovely evening in after buying an assortment of cheeses, pâtés, baguettes, wine, and fruit from Old Town. The apartment was well stocked with dishware, flatware, and glassware. It was nice that even though there was one full bath, the other bathroom had a separate toilet/sink and walk-on shower/sink so that we wouldn't have to compete to use the bathroom. Never ran out of hot water. Transportation: An added plus to booking with Sunlight Properties is the complimentary transport from Nice airport to the apartment! There was a slight mixup with the number in our party since I had booked more than one apartment, but this was quickly remedied. Dana was a wonderful greeter and gave us a thorough tour of the apartment before leaving us to settle in. I really can't say enough wonderful things about Amour Violette and Sunlight Properties. They were very accommodating and the apartment itself was a dream to stay in-- I will definitely be booking with them again in the future if I find my way back to Nice!

Situated on a quiet 'impasse' which leads onto pretty street full of upmarket shops, Amour Violette is just 2 minutes from main pedestrianised centre for a great selection of bars & restaurants. Although just 5 minutes to tram stop, nothing is more than 15 minutes walk away, Good restaurant just opposite the apartment entrance (bedrooms on opposite side so no problem with noise at night) and very popular with locals. The apartment is clean, modern and spacious with everything you would need for an enjoyable stay, including plenty of hot water and comfortable beds. Outside terrace, although somewhat overlooked, is a pleasant area to enjoy the warm weather. Sun limited to around 3 hours in the afternoon but will be much longer in the summer. Dana was terrific, meeting us outside the apartment when we arrived and organising transport to and from the airport. Highly recommended. (UK)

Fantastic service all the way from inquiry, reservation and payment to arrival at the airport and apartment. The apartment is large and convenient with all the amenities we could think of. We were picked up at the airport in Nice, fast and efficient transportation directly to the apartment, perfect! When we arrived to the apartment Dana welcomed us and tell us practicalities, showed us what was worth seeing in Nice. During our stay, she was never more than a phone call away if there was anything we needed or if we had any questions, great service! The apartment is perfectly located, a few steps from Place Massena, Promenade de Anglais and Vieux Nice, close to bakery, shopping and restaurants. We really appreciated our stay at SunlightProperties Amour Violette.

Brilliant location in Nice, with all visitor attractions accessible. Well equipped with very comfortable king size double bed and large twin beds. En suite bathrooms were fine. The balcony was enclosed and unadorned, most likely better in the summer, we visited in December. Lighting in sitting room great. Pick up arrangements very good all in all highly recommended.

This was our 3rd rental booked with Sunlight Properties and have to say the best in terms of location and proximity to excellent shopping ranging from your typical high street stores to some very individual independent boutiques. Excellent choice of restaurants within walking distance. Nice Ville station just a 10min walk away to whisk you away to the very salubrious Monte Carlo in under 30 mins. Don't leave your wallet at home you will definitely need it in Monaco! The property as we've come to expect from Sunlight was well equipped with all the gadgets and gizmos you'd expect home from home. Beds super comfy too. Would definitely book this rental again. Special thanks to Hanna who met us at the apartment after being collected from the airport by the complimentary taxi service. Hanna very kindly settled us in and provided very useful tips and hints to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Thank you Hanna!

We (three adults and three kids 9-11) rented this holiday rental apartment for its size and its location; we were pleased with both. The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of closet space, the beds comfortable, and the rooms quiet at night. The sofa sleeper was comfortable for the kiddos as well. the bathrooms were as advertised, the second toilet just off the living area. The living area was as big and comfortable as it looks in the pictures. The kitchen and its seating area were great for morning or afternoon meals, snacks, or drinks. The kitchen was well equipped. The terrace was big and sheltered; we ate several family meals there. Air conditioning worked well, as did clothes washer and dishwasher. The apartment location was perfect - one block to Rue Massena, one of the main tourist strips; two blocks from Avenue Jean Medecin, the main road that leads to Place Massena, shopping, and the light rail. A ten minute walk to the Cours Selaya and Old Town. You can hit the beach in five minutes - we preferred the public Plage Centenaire, right next to the private beach / resaurant La Galet. It has a toilette, a life guard during summer, and a place to buy drinks or rent towels. There were several markets in close proximity; we preferred Spar, two blocks down from apartment on Rue Maccarani. Sunlight Properties was very easy to work with and communicated well. Hanna was there to meet us and available when we had a couple of questions. We would book the apartment and use Sunlight Properties again.

The apartment is perfectly located for visitors who just want to unwind, not drive anywhere and spend a relaxing time strolling through the quaint streets of Nice. It comfortably fits 4 people and all amenities are within walking distance no need to take bus or tram. Plenty of restaurants and shops close by too. We look forward to returning at some time in the future.

Wonderful spot in a fantastic location near to everything. The hosts were helpful and provide a book with tips on how to get around and use appliances etc. Do rent this space, the pictures are accurate. The space is quiet overall and large. Great clothes washer and AC. Tip - Le Bocal is a fantastic restaurant nearby. Open between 12-4pm and worth searching out.
