At Sunlight Properties, we understand that you may have some questions regarding our holiday rental apartments and villas and the process of booking an apartment or villa. Below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions that we have put together to answer some of your queries. How Do I Make A Booking?

You can make booking online at any time (click here), in addition you are most welcome to email or phone us to reserve your holiday apartment or villa. Click here for our contact details. The booking process is very simple. Once you have selected your holiday rental property and the dates for your stay, a non refundable deposit of 25% of the value of the total amount is paid when you make a booking more than 8 weeks from your arrival date. Eight weeks prior to your arrival, the remaining balance is due to be paid. All our charges are in euros. We encourage you to read our Terms & Conditions that provide you with further details.

How Can I Pay?

You can pay via all major credit cards and bank wire transfer.

What Is The Minimum Or Maximum Amount Of Time I Can Stay?

At Sunlight Properties we try to be super flexible, so if you want to stay for only one night then we can arrange that for you. As for the maximum amount of time that you can stay, this depends entirely on availability. Should you wish to stay for a longer period please let us know and we will be able to arrange a discount off the standard prices.

What If I Need To Cancel My Booking?

The 25% deposit you paid when the booking was made is non refundable. Any further payment you have made will be refunded depending on the amount of notice you provide of your cancellation. Should you advise us more than 35 days from the date of arrival we will refund 50% of the payment (excluding the deposit which is non refundable). Should you advise us more than 21 days from the date of arrival we will refund 25% of the payment (excluding the deposit which is non refundable). Should you advise us 21 days or less from your date of arrival there will be no refund of payment. Any refunds will be made back to the same credit card from which the payments were made. What Time Can I Check In And Check Out?

Generally speaking check in time is 4pm on the day of your arrival, and check out at 10.30am day of departure. This allows us sufficient time between those guests leaving and the new guests arriving to clean the holiday rental property to an acceptable standard; however we are always willing to accommodate an earlier check in or later check out time if at all possible.

What Is Included In The Apartment Or Villa?

Our holiday apartments and villas come with a fully equipped kitchen including cutlery, plates, pots etc. Items such as towels, sheets, pillows are also included, as is soap, shampoo, toilet paper, cleaning products, iron, hair dryer, and basic grocery items. When you view each apartment on our website you will see a list of amenities and equipment that comes with that particular apartment or villa such as: air conditioner, lift, wifi, TV etc.

Do I Have To Pay A Deposit?

In much the same way that a hotel operates, we also obtain details of your credit card when you arrive. No money is charged to the credit card unless there is damage or theft.

What If I Need To Change Dates, Or Would Like To Book A Different Apartment Or Villa?

Individual people just like you, privately own the apartments on our books, so we are limited on the changing between properties. Funds are not simply moving around under one company, but instead changing hands from one owner to another. We do, however, do our best to offer both guests and owners a level of fair process and financial security during such issues. We will always try to accommodate any changes you need to make. Changes are subject to availability and time before your arrival date.You may switch properties within 48 hours of confirmation of your booking, provided you book more than 3 weeks prior to your stay without any additional charges. Can I Bring My Pet With Me?

For the benefit of those guests and property owners who may be affected by allergies to cats and dogs, we cannot unfortunately permit pets to stay in the holiday rental villas and apartments.

Am I Allowed To Smoke In The Apartment Or Villa?

For the benefit of our non smoking guests, as well as the owners of the properties, smoking is not permitted inside the holiday rental property.

What Are The Options For Getting To Nice?

I Plan To Drive To Nice, Will The Apartment Or Villa Have Parking?

In most European cities parking is at a premium and Nice and is no different. So whilst all our rental villas in the South of France have parking, unfortunately very few of our apartments come with parking. There are however a number of 24 hour underground public parking facilities throughout Nice. If you plan to come by car, please let us know and we can notify you of the location of the closest car park to your holiday apartment. Prices for 24 hours are around €30 to €40.

Once I Arrive In Nice, How Do I Get To My Apartment Or Villa?

We offer a complimentary transfer to your apartment anywhere in to central Nice, whether you are 1 or 8! Should your party be arriving on several different flights and hours, part of your party will possibly have to choose public transportation. There are several options for getting to the centre of Nice and the Côte d’Azur once you arrive. From the airport you can take a bus or taxi. From the main train station you can use the tram or a taxi. For all the information you need regarding these options please click here. But don’t worry once you make your booking we will send you a map and simple instructions on how to get to your holiday apartment or villa, no matter what form of transport you use to get here.

What Will The Weather Be Like In Nice When I’m There?

Nice and the French Riviera are blessed with a wonderful climate all year round. As the region is protected by the Alps and the surrounding hills, it enjoys a unique microclimate that ‘softens’ both extreme cold and heat; add to the fact that there are over 300 days of sunshine each year and minimal rainfall you have a holiday destination with beautiful weather no matter what the month. Average temperatures are: Autumn 17°C to 20°C, Winter 11°C – 17°C, Spring 15°C to 20°C, and Summer 20°C to 27°C.
