I have just returned from a 7 day stay in a beautiful studio apartment called L'Olive Noir which is managed by Sunlight Properties. My first experience with this company was last year when a friend and I rented a 4th(?) floor apartment on the Promenade D'Anglais, that was situated right across the road from the beach. It was a good 25 minute walk to the Old Town but with the Velo Bleu, who needed to walk!! It was a great location for what we were looking for..............beach during the day, and Old Town at night. We were lucky enough to have been assigned Dana as our local agent and she was incredibly helpful. It was my experience with Dana that made me make contact directly (I still have her number!!) in early June to see if there were anything suitable in Nice for 7 night stay.. As efficient as ever, Dana had reservations contact me with all the properties that were available and we settled for a studio apartment in the shopping district which was literally a 10 minute walk to the sea front and Old Town. L'Olive Noir was PERFECT for what I was looking for, and it is just as the pictures show. It is a beautifully, well planned studio apartment, with lovely tasteful furnishing, all mod cons, AC and a wonderful little terrace that got used repeatedly! As it didn't get the early morning sun, my partner and I would sit out on that terrace for hours drinking coffee, chatting and watching the world pass by without being burnt alive! When Dana said it was a 10-15 walk to the promenade, we were delighted to realise it was literally just 10, and there was no need to get the tram (which was just around the corner!). We didn't eat in the area, always choosing to go into the Old Town for the atmosphere and choice, but the restaurants on our street were always buzzing with people, and I always felt safe heading to the shops or out at night. There is a Mono Prix supermarket not 200m from the apartment and a cheaper Casino about 300 m, so we were never stuck for provisions. We enjoyed the apartment so much, we actually cooked in 3 nights of our 7! The apartment itself had a large and extremely comfortable bed; the bathroom had the ususal amenities but the shower was super size and there was never a shortage of hot water. There was plenty of storage place for clothes, and even without a wardrobe for hanging dresses etc, I managed perfectly well with the funky "coat rack"!! We would return to this apartment in a heartbeat and I would highly recommend it. If you are a light sleeper, like me, and you like to sleep with all windows open, bring earplugs as the deliveries vans arrive about 7am. However, with the windows closed and the AC on, noise levels were much lower. Please don't let this put you off mind, as it is such a great location and a beautiful apartment with everything you need. Thank you to Dana for her constant availability, her never ending reples to my questions and her incredible professional manner. Thanks to Sunlight for letting us stay the extra night too given the air traffic controllers strike, and thanks to the owners of L'Olve Noir for deciding to rent, we made ourselves at home......I even read your books! We'll be back!

Really enjoyed this stay in Nice, the apartment was perfect, close to shops and less than a minute from great local restaurants, tram stop just another minute, and the main train station less than five minutes. This is the perfect base to explore Nice and its surrounding towns and cities. Dana was a great host, arranging a pickup from the airport and everything was perfect in the apartment, very clean and well appointed, the little unexpected extras like the beach cushions and restaurant recommendations were greatly appreciated.

I am so glad we chose to stay in this apartment, it was PERFECT for our week in Nice. The location is walking distance to the beach, main square and train station but there's also a tram stop at the end of the street if you prefer. As well as local bars, restaurants, and the main shopping street all on the doorstep! The free pick up from the airport was a wonderful start to our holiday and meant we arrived at the apartment quickly and free from stress. Dana met us the next morning and gave us loads of help and advice to make the most of our visit. As for the apartment, it really is as beautiful as it looks, stocked with everything we could need, including wifi and a landline phone which allowed us to make free international calls. The bed was very comfy and we loved the little balcony, we had breakfast on it every morning! Overall it was great value for money and a much nicer experience than a boring hotel, we actually felt like we were living in France for a week/ We will definitely be back! (UK)

Our host Dana was very welcoming from the start. We were picked up at the airport and taken directly to the apartment where Dana was ready. She told us a little about the area, recommended a few restaurants, bakery, etc. Very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was nice and sweet neighbors. The apartment has a perfect set-up and cozy with the small balcony where we enjoyed our breakfast each morning.

I stayed in this apartment for a second time in April and it was just as perfect as I'd remembered. Once again we were greeted at the airport and driven straight to the apartment. We had one very minor issue during our stay relating to a new security system that was being installed but it was dealt with promptly without any impact on our holiday. If you are looking for a stylish apartment as a base to enjoy the Cote D'Azur then this is it! (UK - April 2016)

It was our second time in this apartment and everything was perfect as usual, starting from the agent,Tamara, who is simply great: professional and very kind. The apartment is a little jewel just in the city centre,1 minute from the hyper shopping street Médecin. It takes about 20 minutes to go to the beach,15 to the Vieux Nice and 15 to Nice central station. You also have many different types of restaurant just under the apartment. The only "negative"aspect is that much noise comes from the street...but you can close the windows and put the air conditioner on and you hear nothing! I would surely recommend this apartment! I and my husband love it!

The apartment is beautiful exactly as the photos show even better! It is equipped with everything you need for a stress free stay in the South of France. The airport pick-up made arrival fast and worry free. Hanna was waiting at the apartment to show me how everything worked and she even spent extra time making sure everything worked and writing down all the buses and trains I would need to reach different places on the Riviera. She was so kind and she even checked in throughout the week to see if I needed anything her thoughtfulness was very much appreciated! I would definitely recommend sunlight properties! (USA)

We were met by Elena at the train station and she walked with us to the apartment explaining all the places to go and see and was very informative and friendly. After such a long journey, it was nice not to have the stress of finding the apartment as we arrived later then planned. Fabulous, stylish apartment situated perfectly for access to the numerous restaurants/cafes, beach (stony), square/main town and the old town. Trams were at the end of the road and train station was a 10 minute very pleasant walk away. Couldn't have been better placed and had all the amenities you'd expect from accommodation. The shower was powerful and refreshing and the bed was huge and extremely comfy. Was fantastic to fall into after much walking each day. Balcony was fun to have meals on and watch the hussle and bussle below. We managed to do additional trips to Monte Carlo, Monaco and Cannes by train as they were both so close. Husband has fallen in love with Nice and it's now top of the list as favourite City.

The flat is amazing! My stay in Nice was definitely enhanced by living in this flat for the month. It's so close to everything you would want to do in Nice, and that benefit alone is worth the price! Speaking of price, it was very competitive to other places, and I'm sooo glad I chose this place instead of any of the other options. The owners are kind and friendly, and gave so many helpful tips and advice on what to see and places to visit while I was in Nice. Would highly recommend. The neighborhood is relatively quiet, considering it is downtown just off of a main street. Was very easy to sleep, or watch TV in the evening without interruption. The neighbors are all friendly and the location was just a dream. Internet speeds were phenomenal! I work remotely, and was very impressed.

We had a wonderful week at Olive Noire! The location is very good, with supermarket, restaurant, department stores and parking lot around, which saved us a lot of time and energy. It's in the center of Nice, so it is easy to go anywhere by taking Tram or just walking. The apartment is on the 1st floor, it might be a bit inconvenient for families with little baby who is in need of strollers but it is just a small problem. The kitchen is perfect, we have everything we need; microwave, washing machine and etc. Thank for Adrien's hosting and the red wine as welcome gift, We shall come back again soon!

Very well located studio appartment in central Nice. Great jumping off point for everything and everywhere. Public transport is excellent and well connected. Lovely freash towels & bedding on the good king-size bed. Studio is stylish and quirky with all appliances you would need. We stayed a week and began to feel like locals! Complimentary taxi ride from airport is a real bonus.
