Neighbourhood

This holiday rental apartment is on one of the main Portside streets. With the great views, this is a popular street for well-regarded restaurants, bars and nightlife for a more reserved clientele. The local food store and other shops are accessible through the building courtyard.

With the Port right on your doorstep, the beach and Old Town are within a very pleasant 12 minute stroll around Rauba Capeu. There are excellent local shops and a supermarket on the surrounding streets.

Walking distance (5 minutes) from the swimming rocks which have more secluded small beaches for swimming in crystal water, away from the lively main Nice beaches. These are near La Reserve a superb Michelin restaurant overlooking the sea with a rooftop champagne bar. Le Plongeoir is an impressive yet lower-key restaurant perched on a rock in the sea.

If you want to explore further afield, public transport is readily available. The main number 100 bus route goes through the Port on its way to Monaco and the border of Italy and the Riquier train station is a 15 minute walk away. Should you wish to bring a car, there is public parking available on the port.

Building

This apartment is located on the fourth floor of a modern building with a small lift (a pushchair could be squeezed in). There are 20 steps outside the building and 74 inside if you choose to take the stairs.

The building is very secure, with 24-hour surveillance, an all-night security guard.-

An elegant and somewhat grand courtyard on entrance, it opens straight on to the port on one side or onto a street with supermarkets, delis and restaurants on the other side.

Living Area

Light streams into the living area through the large patio doors. Unwind on the L-shaped sofa and watch some TV or browse the net using the apartment's Wi-Fi connection.

A stylish breakfast bar separates the living and dining room so if it's not your turn to cook that day you can always pull up a stool and keep the chef company while they put the finishing touches to the meal.

Kitchen

Open plan to the living room, the kitchen is conveniently modern. Complete with a four-ring hob and full-sized oven, its steel grey units also house a fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and dishwasher.

Patio doors open off the kitchen onto a small balcony, allowing a gentle breeze to drift through the apartment.

Bedrooms

Bold and spacious, the bedroom is as light and airy as the rest of the apartment. The double bed comes with two bedside tables and reading lamps. Guests have the added advantage of having a second TV in the bedroom, so relax in bed and watch a bit of TV before dropping off.

In the morning, you can open the patio doors and step straight outside to enjoy your first coffee of the day on the balcony.

For those travelling with a baby, there is room for a baby cot in the bedroom. This can be organised at the booking stage if you wish.

 

 

Bathrooms & WC

The sunny yellow bathroom comes complete with a bath with overhead shower attachment, as well as a washbasin and mirror.

There is also a separate WC.

-- Beach towels are available in the apartment but must be left clean, ready for the next guest. Otherwise, a supplement of 15€ per beach towel will be charged via credit card upon departure.

We loved the excellent location, near the waterfront of the old port, close to restaurants and shops with opportunities for exploring, walking and swimming in the sea, especially towards Cap de Nice. We found the apartment attractive, comfortable and very well appointed, situated in a safe building with an elegant inner courtyard. It was very relaxing and we really felt we’d had a great holiday!

Had a great time in Nice staying at the Lily! Great location. Very central to many of the main attractions. Responsive hosts. Great accommodations. Loved the kitchen. Parking can be an issue around the property, but there are many 24hour parking lots when street parking becomes scarce.
